Lors du 12e salon Art Metz, en Lorraine au printemps dernier, dix peintres chinois invités ont exposé au milieu d’autres artistes. Parmi eux, Paxal, passionné par la spiritualité, présentait un portrait monumental du Dalaï Lama. 
Ce qui lui a valu un salon épique, les artistes chinois exigeant que l’œuvre soit décrochée, l’organisatrice du salon se rangeant à leurs côtés. 
“Mes voisins de stand m’ont conseillé de m’immoler en guise de protestation…” s’amuse à présent Paxal, qui a pacifiquement résisté. Et son Dalaï Lama sourit toujours.

I am a finger pointing to the moon. Don’t look at me; look at the moon.” Paxal, is a french artist, whose process and progress claim the attention, rather then the explicit featureof the piece itself. 
Process being the main media of his work, Paxal seeks the details rather then his quite simple pretexts; claiming the details to be, or accompany, the subject. 
History and fiction forges his work with a spontaneous improvisation, indulging his need of maintaining a foot in the invisible worlds (with all its layers, visible indeed).

Graffitis, personnages de bandes dessinées, symboles tribaux évoquant tatouages et symboles mystiques… Sur ses œuvres, toutes les passions du peintre français Paxal sont réunies en un tourbillon d’allégories.
